Incarnate brings visions of Butoh from Asian and European perspectives into one world in this exciting collaboration between Marie-gabrielle Rotie and international butoh exponent Katsura Kan. The late work of Samuel Becket has inspired this exploration of the cycles of inhale and exhale, birth and death, confinement and freedom. Commissioned by Laban, London and Nuffield Theatre Lancaster. Mutability evokes images of transformation and demonstrates Rotie's solo improvisation style which brings voice and body into an inimitable language which challenges the form and content of dance.
