Miyagi Dance Company is a pioneering inclusive dance company formed in Japan in 1998. With the belief that we can transcend barriers of social, cultural, physical and experimental differences through dance, we have developed our process of creating inclusive performance, through delivering workshops in the Tohoku area of Japan.

Honno Sukoshi by the widely acclaimed Japanese choreographer Osamu Jareo, explores different aspects of the human race when viewed from an alternative perspective. Featuring Toru Iwashita from Sankaijuku (a dance improvisation soloist), a piece of dance has been created which focuses on the everyday life of one of the company members. Projected images and live footage will be used to enhance the exploration. 'Honno Sukoshi' when translated means 'Just a little Bit'Choreographer Osamu Jareo.
