#BlackLivesMatter, juxtapose historical with modern day resistance and protest from a Black perspective, asking ?What have we learned from the past?' Working with choreographer Bawren Tavaziva (Tavaziva Dance), the piece fuses dance with the spoken word of Euton Daley creating a pulsing protest-style dance theatre piece. Critically acclaimed choreographer Richard Chappell's new duet East Coker matches a score by Samuel Hall of piano, cello and T S Elliot's words with a combination of classical ballet, martial arts, contemporary dance and improvisation. KAIHO// the state in between is a collaboration between physical theatre comp[any Justice in Motion and Finnish Tango band Uusikuu, Through contemporary dance and vintage live music it examines the experiences and cultural identities of expat women over the past century.
