Rafaela Carasco is a fast rising star in the flamenco dance world. In a career that started at 6, she has also trained and performed in other styles including classical Spanish and contemporary Spanish dance. In flamenco, she has collaborated with many great dancers including Mario Maya, Belen Maya, Manolete and Israel Galvan and starred as a soloist with the Andalucian Dance Company and the Cumbre Flamenca Company.

Vamos Al Tiroteo

Award-winning modern flamenco choreographer Rafaela Carrasco presents the UK premiere of her latest work. Vamos Al Tiroteo is set to a selection of popular Spanish songs originally recorded by Federico García Lorca with the flamenco star La Argentinita on vocals in 1931. Carrasco transfers these songs to the present day, finding new life and energy in the music that inspired a hugely influential generation of artists, who came to be known as the 'Generation of 27'.
