Luxuria/A Visitation

Luxuria - premiered in 2005 and has since become a signature work for the company. Visually arresting, cinematic and with haunting music, LUXURIA is a feast for the senses. A Visitation is the first commission for SDT from Ina Christel Johannessen, an influential force in Norwegian contemporary dance. Inspired by the vivid descriptive writing of Bruno Schultz and The Street of Crocodiles, a collection of his short stories, A Visitation features 5 wooden mannequins, 5 ghosts and 5 people, in an evocative setting created by Ina’s long-time designer, Kathrine Tolo. Haunting work - literally.
