Nisbat is a modern classical celebration of the piercing energy of Kathak dance. Nisbat, meaning connection and lineage, reveals the raw, dynamic roots of the dance, bringing together the spirit of Gypsy folk, the passion of Quawwals and the mysticism of Sufism, which have shaped Kathak's artistic expression. Sonia is accompanied on stage by three dancers and live musicians in an intimate play of movement, melody and rhythm.
