The programme ranges from the gripping drama of Missing - a compelling and moving contemporary piece dealing with runaways, to the light hearted and dazzling In the Genes - a celebration of the talent of Gene Kelly. The finale piece Fire the Spirit, which also gives its name to the title of the programme is a fusion of classical, jazz and tap styles which brings the evening to a close in a blaze of colour and spectacle.
