Integrating Virginia's felicitous and fantastical biography of Vita Sackville West, with sensitive moments of her (Virginias) own being, this production, where theatre, dance and cinema interact, is probably the most faithful interpreatation of Woolf's legendary oeuvre. Conceived and directed by Cisco Anvar (awarded the 2003 Best Young Choreographer of Switzerland) this quintessentail production has received world wide acclaim since it was launched in 2001. As Cisco says, 'In the Compagnie Buissonniere's Orlando, I tried to create a space in which the time and sexes confound themselves to better reflect the relativity of these factors. From Virginia Woolf'd world, I tries to rescue her powerful sensibility, her poetry, her humour and her style moulded by the stream of consciousness. I like to think that our Orlando succeeds in rising from the turbulent waters of this English writer.' This unique experience is being present during Back to the Bloomsbury - the 14th Annual International Conference on Virginia Woolf in affiliation with the international Virginia Woolf Society and Woolf Society of Great Britain. Orlando is part of Bloomsbury - A Celebration.
