From virtuoso displays of traditional tango dance to the exquisite sounds of 1930s Buenos Aires and the powerful nuevo tango music of Astor Piazzolla, Tangomotion is a breathtaking journey into the heart of Argentinian Tango. Tangomotion features four of the UK's leading tango dancers, Giraldo Escobar, Alexandra Wood, David Benitez and Kim Schwarz, with live music from Tango Siempre, and the outstanding Argentinian singer Guillermo Rozenthuler. The Tangomotion dancers have previously appeared in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, Tango Por Dos, Channel 4 film Dance, Sally Potter's Covent Garden production of Carmen and the film Evita, starring Madonna. A brilliant fusion of tango, jazz and roots.
