Edits - T02131688513Edits is the new work. Using a drastic and compelling new way of creating movement material, Lea takes to extremes her translation of the conventions of film, photography and painting into dance. Edits draws on the peculiar elasticity of filmic time, the dramatic rhythm of film editing, the ability to heighten effect through extreme close up and while revealing the hidden rhythm achieved in film with the use of zooms, pans and tilts, creates a totally original live world of its own.

Research and Development Project - T01040042536Titled simply the Research and Development Project, offer a tantalising preview of the results of four weeks of research hosted by The Place. The Featherstonehaughs was the Resident Company way back in 1992, so it is fitting that the latest incarnation of Lea Anderson’s company reveals early sketches of its first new piece in 12 years at The Place. Presented without costumes or lighting, viewed in the round and subject to a limited capacity, the new company will show fragments of material in rotating orientations with live music. The material will be presented in a loop lasting up to two hours and the audience are free to come and go at any point.
