The Silent Witness explores an aspect of domestic violence which is rarely, and if ever touched on. Beyond the immediate victim of abuse, who are the other victims? How does domestic violence affect them? What emotions do they harbour? What struggles do they face in moving on from those experiences? The Silent Witness focuses on the long term effects of domestic violence on victims other than the direct victims - loved ones, children, friends and other family members - and their struggle to move on and break the cycle. The Silent Witness is a new dance theatre production being developed by Daniel Limbaya and Chi-Lin Nim. They are workshopping the piece at the Broadway and we are opening the doors for anyone intrigued and fascinated by the creative and choreographic process to sit in, observe and express your ideas on how aspects of the piece can be developed.
