Unity is a dance drama portraying centuries of African and Caribbean history and tells the story of the survival of the African culture in the face of the slave trade. The story unfolds through the eyes of Kofi, stolen from his African village to become a member of the slave resistance in Jamaica. Unity is performed with dancers trained in authentic African and Caribean dance to the beat of live drums and voice, creating a rich musical experience.
