Wamde, a group of 20 young drummers and dancers from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, performs the traditional music and dance of West Africa. A family show of traditional music and dance of West Africa - the vibrancy of Burkina Faso. A variety of diverse ethnic origins provide the inspiration for the work and take the audience on a journey through the fascinating folklore of a vibrant culture. Djembe and balafon are at the heart of Wamde's music, whilst dance, mime and acrobatics tell the visual story of the rituals of daily life.
