Wild Card is a Sadler's Wells initiative that gives artists the opportunity to present the work of their choice. It aims to bring fresh ideas to the stage by giving young creators a platform to share the work they admire. Dancer, aspiring choreographer and founder of DaJance Arts Collective Laura Dajao presents Take A Closer Look, the sixth and final Wild Card of 2013. Laura's evening focuses on the themes of her condition - Multiple Sclerosis - taking a closer look at the intricate issues around MS and the artist's interpretation of them. Working collaboratively with a range of different artists, Laura's evening features new and existing work, including a re-interpretation of her own dance piece Marionette. Take a Closer Look encourages the audience to take their own journey through spaces that have been transformed by Laura, including an interactive installation in the Kahn Lecture Theatre that takes place throughout the evening.
