Production details
Young people aged 10 to 19, from Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Stoke and Staffordshire will be presenting high quality dance throughout the evening in many different forms and styles. Over one evening, the showcase will include a mix of performances from different youth dance groups. To conclude the evening, a joint finale dance will be performed with all of the young people under the theme of the Summer Solstice. This is a partnership project between Youth Dance England, DanceXchange, Shropshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council and Stoke on Trent Theatres. On the same evening, there will be a Showcase at Stoke on Trent Theatres, where young people from Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin will also be performing. The showcase is part of U Dance, a National Initiative which aims to give every child and young person in England the opportunity to take part in dance performance each year and provides an opportunity for dancers to meet and share their experience, enthusiasm and skills.
