Japan 2001 - A Celebration of Japanese Culture - 100 Views of Mount Fuji archiveDrawn from one of the most comprehensive collections of Japanese material in Europe. In 2001, the first year of the new century, The British Museum celebrates Japanese cultures and explores the histories of Japan. This exhibition will explore a wide range of manifestations of Japan's highest mountain. Mount Fuji will be portrayed in 100 works by Japanese painters and print designers from the 17th Century to the present day.
