All Ireland Millennium Invitation Festival of Amateur Theatre: Celebration 2000

Three top drama companies from the Republic and three from Northern Ireland have been invited to present their productions in this celebration of the amateur theatre in Ireland. The companies have been invited on the basis of the quality of their productions, which should ensure an excellent and stimulating week of theatre. Exact details of companies and titles will be available from Ardhowen by April. A full supporting programme of musical entertainment will take place in the Festival Club each night, including a return visit by the amazing Phil Mason and his New Orleans All-Stars, with Jamaican blues and gospel singer Christine Tyrell, and the London-based Boston Tea Party.
