Thousands of visitors come annually to enjoy the travelling fair and the Carnival parade with the crowning of the Carnival queen. As dusk you can follow the magical Chinese lantern procession and, after sunset, watch the firework finale from the beach. A full programme of the day's events is published in advance and is available at outlets throughout the town.
