Details

Following two successful programmes in previous years, the 2011 Emerge Festival returns from June 19-26 with script nights, scratch nights, mentored performances, film screenings, and more. Festival wristbands at 20 allowing owners entry to all performances and workshops led by exciting figures in the UK performance scene. During the week, there will be the premiere of Pointed Arrow's HEAVE documentary, charting the company’s ACE funded journey pushing a 20ft sailing boat 100 miles around Yorkshire’s cities and dales. There will also be a special performance of Heartbreak Soup produced by The Empty Space. Finally, there will be several networking and surgery events, including an Open Space discussion event about the future of theatre making in Yorkshire which will take over the entire Carriageworks building. This event will be facilitated by Red Ladder’s Rod Dixon.
