Exposure Young Writers 2000

"the latest explosion of writing talent at the Royal Court gives a feeling of sheer cheek and limitless possibility" DAILY TELEGRAPH (Young Writers 1998). Earlier this year, the ROYAL COURT YOUNG WRITERS PROGRAMME sent out an open invitation for any writer under the age of 26 to submit a play of any description and length for the EXPOSURE season. The response was stunning. Presented here is an abrasive mix of full length plays, readings, and extracts which represents the forefront of a new wave of new writers. This season is directed and designed by prominent names in the world of theatre. Many writers first seen in the YOUNG WRITERS season have been subsequently commissioned by the ROYAL COURT such as Christopher Shinn, Rebecca Prichard, Nick Grosso, Jonathan Harvey and Andrea Dunbar.
