Over the last 12 years artists from across the World have congregated in a small city in Scotland to share their astounding creative visions at the Le Weekend festival. Artists like Otomo Yoshihide, Peter Brotzmann, Keiji Haino, Thurston Moore, Han Bennink, Zeena Parkins, Kazuki Tomokawa, Dread Foole & Borbetomagus have all performed at Le Weekend and have added to the mind boggling array of musical mayhem in Scotland. This year’s Le Weekend festival in Stirling will be the 13th and final foray into what some people would say is marginal music. The festival has never believed this to be true, we see the music that has been performed over the years as vital. Vital for anyone interested in the creative and rewarding experience of exploration and the eureka moment of finding something new. The final Le Weekend will be an occasion of high drama and mighty celebrations of that vitality, with performances from BEN FROST, MURCOF, TARWATER and closing the festival, Krautrock inventors and iconoclasts extraordinaire, FAUST. The four day festival features exhibitions, performances, film screenings, improv spaces and workshops.
