A festival of writers, futurologists and transhumanists. Through a writers' imagination and their characters' concerns about where humanity is heading we can both immerse ourselves in a distant time and get greater clarity on the present. From satellites which map our every movement to robots in the workplace, the stuff of fantasy is becoming reality. No part of society or politics is immune to the radical technological advancement that is changing the way we live. This year's London Literature Festival gathers together world-renowned writers, futurologists and transhumanists to look at the important role that writers play in showing us different worlds to come. Time and time again we see the way the power of the imagination takes us beyond our expectations as a species.
