A collaboration between Bristol Old Vic Young Company and Bristol Old Vic's artist development department, Ferment, the programme allows young emerging writers, composers, directors and devisors to develop their ideas from page to stage with support from professional creative mentors. This will be the first time Young Ferment has returned to the theatre since 2019, with six young artists gearing up to showcase their theatrical shorts. Exploring an array of themes and topics, from gentrification to the afterlife, the work has been devised entirely by the young creatives over several months with guidance from the Bristol Old Vic team.
