In 'Hidden City' monsters positively thrive off the screams of children - it's the main source of their power. They use special doors to get into children's wardrobes and once there, they elicit a cream from a child...collect it, and off they go. Well one night, Sullivan (a giant woolly monster) goes through a door, and accidentally brings a child back with him. This is, of course, a huge accident because (shhhh..) monsters are actually scared to death of children. The mere thought of a human child coming into their world could be disastrous...
