Scoular Anderson lives in a house in Argyll which overlooks the Firth of Clyde. He spends lots of time looking at the passing ships rather than getting on with his work. He likes writing books which are funny or make the reader learn something. So far, he has written and illustrated about 80 books and illustrated around the same number for other authors. He likes drawing dogs and castles but hates bicycles and horses because they stick out at strange angles.
