Production details
Now in its third year,
The Catch has rapidly established itself as a landmark in the calendar of London Theatre. Ostensibly a showcase for the extraordinary and innovative worldwide developments now happening under the guise of children's theatre,
The Catch is in practice an international celebration of all that is most surprising and original in theatre, music, dance and multimedia performance - and is as likely to intrigue and delight adults as beguile and enchant children. The 2003 Catch collection promises once again to fire the imagination of children and adults alike. A mix of specially commissioned work -
Sister India (from the UK) and reworks of the classics
Moby Dick (from Germany), through to interactive multimedia events with
Labclick (from Italy) and a brief Easter visit by the legendary
Blue Grassy Knoll from Australia. The best of the UK work features creations by artists whose work pushes hard at the current boundaries of theatre making: Steve Tiplady, Jane Pitt and Simon Parker in
Gobble and Gorge and Sophia Clist's
Stretch. Curated by Rachel Clare.
