LSO Strauss Discovery Day

A chance to find out more about the music of Richard Strauss in a day of lectures and discussion, before the LSO's evening performance of
Ariadne auf Naxos. The day concludes with a special showing of
Romanticism and Resignation a documentary essay which explores the contradictions and compromises of Strauss's old age, and includes rare film footage from the Strauss family archive and excerpts from a cultural film about Strauss made in 1949.
