Professor, now Baroness, Susan Greenfield CBE is one of the foremost scientists of our era investigating the physical basis of consciousness. Trained at Oxford, she took her doctorate in the University's Department of Pharmacology. Author of

The Private Life of the Brain, Susan Greenfield has also presented her theories on TV, notably in BBC2's acclaimed series,
Brain Story, in July 2000.
