Danny - The Musical archiveDanny is a musical play set in a small Irish village between the years 1916 and 1918. The Great War touches the lives of six characters in this musical in different ways. Danny, is very much torn between patriotism and the opportunity of a successful career. Each of the characters has a serious concern to see peace and freedom in the world. With the sheer pride and joy of being Irish, of course, it means that love and laughter are never far away. Father O'Loughlin, the Priest of the parish, revels in telling this story about five people who are members of his flock. Through the words and music by Barrington Brown, it may perhaps bring a tear of sadness, but to be sure, many tears of laughter will fill your eyes.
