Feargus The Musical archiveFeargus The Musical is based on the story of Feargus O'Connor, leader of the first working class political movement in this country - the Chartists - who became an M.P. for Nottingham in 1847. His statue is in The Arboretum, Nottingham, but very few people in the city have heard about him, and fewer still know anything of his history. The musical follows the story of four newly-arrived students in Nottingham whose lives and romantic adventures become entangled with the Chartist supremo. It is entirely original, with 17 new songs and variations of them, several Nottingham-themed.
