We Will Rock You archiveIt is the future ... this place was once called Earth and globalisation is now complete ... all the kids wear the same styles, watch the same films and think the same thoughts. Rock and Roll has been outlawed for centuries and all musical instruments have been banned. Its a bland, uniform, safe Ga Ga world on Planet Mall with nothing to disturb "The Company" who run everything. Except that the legend persist that somewhere there are still instruments to be found and that the mighty axe of a great and hairy guitar god lies buried deep in rock. But only a hero could possible find and wield the axe and the Bohemians need to find him (or her!) before The Company's Ga Ga Cops do because they will drag him (or her!) before the Killer Queen and banish him beyond the Seven Seas of Rhye. Where is this axe hero? Where is the Hairy One's lost axe? Where is the place of living rock? With the fabulous music of Queen and words adapted by Ben Elton this is a terrific, high power, show which will have you stomping and calling out for more. We Will Rock You website.

User Review: 04Aug04: I saw it in the beginning of June and it was amzaing. My friends and I were speechless afterwards. MiG was outstanding, my friends and fell in love with his voice. This show is fantastic, and I tell everyone that they have to experience it for themselves. I cant wait to see the American verson in Las Vegas to see how it compares, hopefully it will be just as great. I believe that this show will take the world by storm and hopefully make it to Broadway, to become the next Rent.

User Review: 15May02: The music is, without question, fantastic. Why in heaven's name "Don't Stop Me Now" started by the excellent Sharon D Clarke IS actually stopped, I don't know. The script is dire. Ben Elton has shamelessly plundered The Matrix, and his own previous work, to bring us the grab-bag of mixed messages - Blasting Napster, yet professing to bring free music to "the kids"...? Attempting to fit a story around the varied subjects of Queen's songs is definitely no a project to tackle lightly. Elton has shot wide of the mark with his hammy stage school approach, unfortunately.
