Breaking the Rules is part concert/part one-man play, exploring the extraordinary life and music of Carlo Gesualdo, known for murdering his first wife, as well as for his distinctive musical voice. In Breaking the Rules we enter the haunted world of 16th-century composer Gesualdo. Nearing the end of his days, he relives the horror of his actions, his anguished memories interspersed with virtuosic performances of his exquisite music.
