Details

Caitlin Hicks plays three women, Meg, a passionate midwife who believes in women's ultimate power in birth; Nicole, a strong vulnerable mother who wants a home birth with no intervention; and Sara, a compassionate obstetrician who has been abused in past. Nicole's pregnancy turns out to be high risk - she's expecting twins - so Meg must answer the question - Is one woman's choice worth the risk her baby might die? This is a powerful play with mature content and language. It is an exploration of women's experience of birth, sexual abuse and violence - yet Hicks' directness is imbued with style and humour.
