Another America: Fire is set in Houston, 2014, where the first black American female astronaut is about to fly to Mars. Under the glare of the paparazzi, she is gripped by an unimaginable fear of her groundbreaking mission. Her life s dream can only be reached by sacrificing the love of her life and finding the courage to face her ancestors. A new opera brimming with inventiveness, humour and passion, shot through with visual wizardry.
