News etc

The Telegraph (11Jan01)
[Calixto Bieito] soon lost my sympathy by igniting a coarse, hyperactive farce that tramples over the opera s delicate moral questions without providing any compensating comic flair.
The Sunday Times (11Jan01)
[Calixto Bieito] has nothing new to tell us about Cosi fan tutte. WNO s record of the past few years is so outstanding that it should be allowed an occasional turkey like this.
