Opera or Operetta :: While staying at a hotel near Naples. Parmenione and his servant Martino bump into Alberto. In his rush to reach the city (and his fiancée Barenice) Alberto picks up the wrong suitcase and leaves for Naples with Parmenione's laundry. Parmenione and Martino are left with Alberto's passport, his money and a portrait of the beautiful Berenice. At home, Berenice is waiting to meet her fiancé for the first time, and plots to exchange clothes with her maid Ernestina to put him to the test.
