Emily, incarcerated in her Edwardian nursery, is full of self-pity. As she takes her toys from the ottoman they come to life - and from them she learns how not to deal with life's tribulations! Help comes from an unexpected quarter however... This fast-paced one act opera erupts into spectacle as choruses of clowns, dolls, stuffed horses and toy soldiers all contribute to the heroine's confusion.
