The Gypsy Bible

T01525460730
The show is a lyrical, dark, atmospheric immersion in to the magic and myth surrounding the creation of the violin, by composer Joe Townsend and librettist Alasdair Middleton (The Adventures of Pinocchio, Swanhunter, The Enchanted Pig). Sung, spoken and played by the UK's most exciting folk musicians and performers, this folk opera is woven together from the European folk traditions of story and music, from which the violin is born and the magic that surrounds its making.
