Jack 'Kid' Berg, the great British-Jewish boxing champion of the 1920s-40s, along with Italian-American boxer, Tony Canzoneri, and Afro-Cuban boxer, 'Kid' Chocolate shared a common experience growing up in poverty-stricken immigrant communities, where the only ticket out was either a life of crime or the boxing arena. Selected partially-staged scenes from this new and unique multimedia opera-in-progress by Berg's cousin, Howard Fredrics and Jacob Sager Weinstein introduce the audience to the dramatic conflicts and colorful twists of fate that befell these celebrated pugilistic pioneers.
