Celebrating Sanctuary Birmingham is back at mac birmingham for a third year with a day of live music, children's entertainment, arts activities, theatre and spoken word to launch Refugee Week in Birmingham. The event is part of the Celebrating Sanctuary World Music Festival and the programme will showcase musicians from across Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe - most of whom have made their homes here in Birmingham and the West Midlands. This event offers the opportunity to find out more about people?s experiences as refugees in our city, as well as bringing together people of all backgrounds to celebrate and share in the music and cultures of their home countries. All events except the cinema will be free of charge.
