Ignition is unique in British theatre. We ask our chosen theatre artists, "Who would inspire you to take a risk, bend some rules, break some new ground?" Then we light the fuse and wait to see what happens. Each Ignition team is given three days to devise a completely new piece of theatre, the result is a week of brilliant new work, created from scratch by the most exciting writers, actors and directors in dream combinations. Audiences are treated to three new pieces of work each night and asked to give their feedback in a Q and A session with the directors afterwards. Now in its fourth year, Ignition's previous strike rate for amazing new work has been exceptional. Previous Ignitions have seen the development of the Fringe First award winning Crush by Paul Charlton, which toured nationally in Spring 2010; You cannot Deny Our Love by Anders Lustgarten that was performed at the Hirare International Festival; and LoveSong by Che Walker which is touring the UK this Autumn.
