Australian science-theatre ensemble Boho has joined forces with agency of play Coney to create a new interactive work based on the science of climate and social modelling. Modelling Play invites the audience to take control of a complex system - a tropical island, a city block, a ski resort - as it faces a serious crisis. Combining the epic scope of tabletop boardgames with interactive performance and storytelling, Modelling Play asks why some systems collapse and others bounce back, why some communities hold together despite adversity while others turn on themselves, and how cooperation can emerge from the most unlikely places.
