Following a sell-out collaboration in 2015, Polari returns to WOW, as a platform for emerging and established narratives of Queer hearts and lives across literature and spoken word. Paula Varjack headlines with her autobiographical book, Letters I Never Sent To You, exploring connection and disconnection with places, people and the spaces in which we encounter them. From Washington to London, Accra, Paris and onwards to Berlin, Letters I Never Sent To You tells stories of a life split between places, identities, languages, nationalities, sexualities. It also explores stories of running away from and into yourself, and love lost and found again. She is joined by Brighton's Jules Grant with her most recent book, We Go Around in the Night and Are Consumed with Fire, an original crime novel with lesbian gangsters and all-female gangs. Also speaking on the night is LA's Michelle Tea with Black Wave, an apocalyptic riot grrl tale of queer sex, drugs and self destruction in 1990s California.Performer Paula Varjack.
