Members of Script Yorkshire York branch have been sharing their scripts at our popular Script Factor events. Now the winners of each heat come together for the final. The writers will be given a theme to write on, time to develop their script through workshops and their 15 minute pieces will be presented by actors from York Settlement Community Players. The audience make the final decision as you vote for your favourite.

Local playwrights’ group, Script Yorkshire has a flourishing York branch. We run Script Factor nights in which writers bring along scripts to be performed at short notice and discussed by the audience before being voted on. We have four winners from these events going through to the final. The All-Winners’ Final will present four short plays in rehearsed readings by York Settlement Players. There is no restriction on theme but a maximum length of thirty minutes for each play. You, the audience will be invited to watch, discuss and debate - and finally vote in a secret ballot for the overall winner. In association with York Literature Festival
