Tonight's special guest is Denes Assad. Denes is a Palestinian storyteller living in the Israeli town of Haifa. In this traditional society, storytelling has always been seen as a profession for men. Such storytelling is on the decline, but Denes is one of the pioneer women storytellers to take part in public performance. She tells the stories form the Arabic tradition of her people which include lively Arabic song and dance.
