It is seventy years AD, and in the doomed city of Jerusalem we meet a Roman spy, a Greek Christian, an aboriginal explorer, a poor Pharisee and sundry other prophets, charlatans, maniacs and merchants, all waiting for the fireworks as the sundials count down the hours to Zion. With song, dance, violence and philosophical rhetoric, Yum Loo explore the terrors and delights of the marketplace just round the corner from the told temples and create the zeitgeist of a time not entirely dissimilar to our own millennial impasse.
