The elderly Lady Ashbrook is brutally murdered for no apparent reason. Concentrating his enquiries on three main suspects, Chief Superintendent Briers discovers the murderer but has no proof. His challenge is to trap the m an he knows to be guilty. In accordance with tradition, a musical revue (known as an Epilogue) follows the play on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night is Gala night. There will be a 40 minute interval for picnickers.
