A Day in the Life of a Bottlehand archiveEvery bottle tells a story. Every Story has a memory. Every Memory holds a truth. Everyone knows the sacred grass of the new Saints RLFC stadium, but do you know what came before? Set against the backdrop of St Helens life in the late 19th Century, ?A Day in the Life of a Bottlehand' digs beneath the earth to celebrate the lives, stories and histories (some real and some imagined) of the people who worked in the largest glass bottle-making factory in the world. Join The Friends of Cannington Shaw in this, St Helens' 150th year to celebrate the history of the site and its rich heritage with this special performance. This work was developed through St Helens Libraries Cultural Hubs Artist Commissions Programme with funding from Arts Council England.
