For the dodgy residents of a run-down housing estate on the edge of Hackney Marsh, the Golden Jubilee celebrations provide the perfect cover for a priceless con. But when a quack doctor, a randy grandmother, a sleazy city gent, a schizophrenic spin doctor and a goody two-shoes all get involved, their best laid plans dissolve into riotous, hilarious farce. A Mad World, My Masters is a brand new version of Barrie Keeffe's masterpiece, originally written in 1977, the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee, and updated by the author specially for The New Wolsey in this Golden Jubilee year.
