A Midlife Migrant Crisis archiveA middle aged actor faces various mid-show crises as he realises that he is performing in front of a foreign audience, who can not speak his native language... When you finally reach the camp at Calais, the euphoria soon evaporates. You come to realise that very little has changed. You are still afraid. Oppression and injustice still stalk you. Perhaps nature thinks there's not enough suffering in Europe. Perhaps she chooses you to balance out the scales. Mohammed Terwis explores the sensitive themes of migration and asylum. He takes aim at the societal dysfunction that drives people to flee their homes, and the societal insecurity that prolongs their suffering when they ostensibly reach a safe haven.
